Booking Through Thursday – Quotable (June 21)

I was checking out Two Weeks From From Everywhere’s blog the other day and figured I would take part in this fun weekly feature. This week’s question they’ve asked is:

Do you have a favourite quote from  a book?

I absolutely love this book from beginning to end. Never Let Me Go by Kazuo Ishiguro is a must read for those who love dystopian, sci-fi novels. The quote from this book really got me through a tough time and spoke loudly to me. It’s that whole idea that everything happens for a reason and sometimes you can’t control what is meant to be.

“I keep thinking about this river somewhere, with the water moving really fast. And these two people in the water, trying to hold onto each other, holding as hard as they can, but in the end it’s just too much. The currents too strong. They’ve got to let go, drift apart”

  1. I recently read and reviewed Never Let Me Go. It is such a great book, very thought-provoking and raises lots of questions. It would be a great choice for a book club. I can imagine there would be some interesting discussion. Thanks for visiting my BTT and giving my page a mention.
